I'm Back!

I've decided to start blogging again for the millionth time. I should really learn to stick with these things. Most of the time I jump from one blogging site to another posting random blogs until I get bored, quit blogging and then start again on another site. So I am going to make this my proper one. No more hoping around the Internet for me. (Yeah even I don't believe me)

So I've been a seriously lazy writer lately and I mean more lazy than what I usually am, which is pretty bad. I have been working on the development of Maglish though which is at least something. I need to get back into writing properly again. I'll probably get back into the swing of things once I am back at university on Monday and I have an actual schedule. Maglish is coming along pretty well though. The grammatical rules are more concrete now it is just a case of building up the general vocabulary.
(In case anyone didn't know Maglish is my own personal language I made up myself to use in my novels and short stories)

On the good news front I haven't broken any of my new years resolutions yet. I've been behaving myself by not eating that much junk food and I have even dropped a jeans size. Yeah...I've been a fricken angel this year. I just have to get something published this year and I will be happy. It shouldn't be so hard right? (famous last words....)

In a Real Writing Mood

Moments ago I finished writing an entry in my dairy, a real life collection of my thoughts, thoughts that I dare not expressed in any of my blogs. Mainly it is a collection of my moanings, my complaints about the world around as well as the people who inhabit my world, though small it maybe. Writing in this journal has re-sparked my love of writing, as my concentration lately has been lacking. I guess all I needed was inspiration. Funny the inspiration that you can find in your everyday life. Am I so vain that I must write about my own life continuously? Or is it writing that I am addicted too? I seem to have this constant need to write, to scribble down everything and anything that pops into my head, whether that be fictional or a part of my day to day existence. I guess it is the writing. In fact that is probably my true addiction, not caffeine, not chocolate, but writing.

So Much Work To Do!

I have been procrastinating so much lately. Actually I am procrastinating as I speak.

At the moment I am working on several notebooks documenting the history of Princosa(TM) but I have been getting distracted so easily. You see this is a problem, as I am unable to start the redraft of my current novel until I am finished the more detailed history notes. I cant keep this history in my head any more, that is why I am writing it down. If I keep it in my head much longer it will keep getting changed and mashed up with every time I think about it. I really have to get this novel finished it is unprofessional of me to keep messing around. Also I have promised some selected fans the first 5 chapters of this novel before I send it to the publishers. Of course the manuscripts that they will be getting will be trademarked, copyrighted, etc. I really must get this finished for them.

On top of that I still have university work to do and exams coming up in May. I sometimes wish that my life was not so hectic. Either be a student or a writer, not both, but then again I don't like doing just the one thing. I am happiest when I am busy and hopefully tomorrow, though it be Easter, I will get plenty of work done with the free time that I have. Maybe get some programming and my novel history done.

A Quick Update While I Watch Cartoons

I was sitting watching X-men Evolution and I remembered that I have not up dated this in a while. Dont ask why but it did.

Well there has'nt been anything really new. I'm still in university, though currently panicing about a video game that I have to make for mulitmedia. I am planning something to do about bunny rabbits but I am still waiting to hear back from my professor about what he thinks about my idea. Hopefully he will like it because I really don't want to think up another one, esspecially now that I already have some of the sprites for the game. I just need the bad guys. Also I got a charming email from my university threatening to supend me if I dont get my tuition fee payments sorted. Its ok though, I can have them fixed by the deadline. Because as weird as this sounds, I would actually like to sit my exams this semester. Of course I did my christmas ones but I dont like the idea of working hard all of this semester for nothing.

Oh on a lighter more fresher note, I got the front of my hair bleached. I now look like Rogue from X-men, its pretty awesome, I am thinking about dying the streaks bright pink though because the bleach had made it look a little too blonde.

Not Working?!? A First Time For Everything

Just thought that I would jot down my new approach to writing. Since I am also finished the re-draft of my first novel I thought that I would take a break and do a bit more research before going any further. It has gotten to the point were I feel as though I am forcing the words to come out of me. It isn’t writers block; it is something else, a severe case of writer’s boredom. For the time being I shall read about myths and legends to see if I can find any juicy details that I may wish to wrap into my own twisted little world.

Why some books just suck

These books aren’t in any particular order I am just writing them down as their suckyness popped into my head.




• Twilight: Where do I start? Bad plot, grammar mistakes in the published novel, bland characters, not to mention targeted towards girls who are obviously not ready to understand the emotional side of the story. I agree with Stephan King on this one its horrible.



• The Vampire Chronicles: I am not hating on all of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles but anything after The Vampire Lestat is boring. Fair play to Rice in the amount of historical research that she puts into her novels but if I wanted a history lesson I would buy a history book. Rice's novels are amazingly detailed and researched but she needs to spend more time on the plot. One of her novels Pandora I was really looking forward to reading, I read the summary online and the blurb of the novel in the book store sadly though the blurb was more interesting than the actual story. The fact that there are two vampire series' on this list is the reason why I stick to Dracula.



• Mariah Mundi: The Midas Box: The language alone ruined this novel for me; it was too rigid there was no flow to the words on the pages at all. I am not nit picking. What was I expecting from a book that I bought from a pound shop? There is a difference between "The cat sat on the mat" and "the cat was curled comfortably upon the soft rug purring happily as it was warmed by the flickering flame of the fireplace". The difference? Atmosphere, this book seriously needs some.



• Cujo: There are very few King stories that I dislike. Sadly in Cujo's case the scariest part of Cujo was in the first or second chapters. The beginning of the novel was brilliant and scary but after that it just slowed down. If a book starts frightening it is exhilarating but if the rest of the novel doesn’t deliver it is just a disappointment.



• 1408: I never thought it was possible for a movie to be better than the short story. That is all I have to say on that one.
