Not Working?!? A First Time For Everything
Just thought that I would jot down my new approach to writing. Since I am also finished the re-draft of my first novel I thought that I would take a break and do a bit more research before going any further. It has gotten to the point were I feel as though I am forcing the words to come out of me. It isn’t writers block; it is something else, a severe case of writer’s boredom. For the time being I shall read about myths and legends to see if I can find any juicy details that I may wish to wrap into my own twisted little world.

Why some books just suck
These books aren’t in any particular order I am just writing them down as their suckyness popped into my head.
• Twilight: Where do I start? Bad plot, grammar mistakes in the published novel, bland characters, not to mention targeted towards girls who are obviously not ready to understand the emotional side of the story. I agree with Stephan King on this one its horrible.
• The Vampire Chronicles: I am not hating on all of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles but anything after The Vampire Lestat is boring. Fair play to Rice in the amount of historical research that she puts into her novels but if I wanted a history lesson I would buy a history book. Rice's novels are amazingly detailed and researched but she needs to spend more time on the plot. One of her novels Pandora I was really looking forward to reading, I read the summary online and the blurb of the novel in the book store sadly though the blurb was more interesting than the actual story. The fact that there are two vampire series' on this list is the reason why I stick to Dracula.
• Mariah Mundi: The Midas Box: The language alone ruined this novel for me; it was too rigid there was no flow to the words on the pages at all. I am not nit picking. What was I expecting from a book that I bought from a pound shop? There is a difference between "The cat sat on the mat" and "the cat was curled comfortably upon the soft rug purring happily as it was warmed by the flickering flame of the fireplace". The difference? Atmosphere, this book seriously needs some.
• Cujo: There are very few King stories that I dislike. Sadly in Cujo's case the scariest part of Cujo was in the first or second chapters. The beginning of the novel was brilliant and scary but after that it just slowed down. If a book starts frightening it is exhilarating but if the rest of the novel doesn’t deliver it is just a disappointment.
• 1408: I never thought it was possible for a movie to be better than the short story. That is all I have to say on that one.

Watching Secret Window Again for Some Reason
Ahhhh I have so much to do before going back to classes tomorrow. I am currently sitting with wet hair and a very untidy room, both of which have to be remedied for tomorrow. I am kinda excited about going back to university, mainly to show off my new school supplies and see my class mates. The sad thing is that I seem to get more excited by a new notebook than seeing an actual person. I need a life BADLY!
Well I think I should start cleaning. It would be so much easier if I wasn't sitting watching my favourite film, its a little distracting. But as old as Johnny Depp is he is still yummy :D

Why Am I Writing This?!?!
This is another procrastination blog. Funny how you don't want to write to your blog until you try to do some actual work and then get distracted. Also I have a HUGE headache which really isn't helping me at all! Must...finish...this...chapter!
My day pretty much rocked to day. Woooo Hooo! Went to Spurs, an American restaurant, in case you didn't know. I never thought I would be able to eat a whole half a chicken, but apparently I can.
My boyfriend is AWESOME! (I am just putting that in here because I know that he reads my blog. I saw it in his Internet favorites when I was snooping...hopefully he wont read that part)
Right now I am watching YouTube tributes to Tonks and Remus from Harry Potter. I don't know why, I am more of a Snape fan. But if I had to think about it I would say that Lupin is either my 2nd or 3rd favorite Harry Potter character, along with Hermione.
Well I think I should get back to work

Someone Stole My Lamp!
Something has been bugging me lately. I bought a book a few days ago, actually it is probably more like a week ago now, and I still have not started reading it. Every time I plan to start it something comes up. If I am not too tired from writing all night I cant carry it on the bus with me because my handbag is already full of books. I am starting to think that I am destined not to read it. It is called Mariah Mundi, The Midas Box by G.P Taylor. I have never heard of it before but I saw it in my local pound shop and thought the cover and the blurb looked interesting so I bought it. It has been a long time since I read something that no one has ever heard of. Usually I read more classical or well known literature, so reading a random pound store find is unusual for me.
I have a date tomorrow night YAY. OK it is with my boyfriend but Yay any way for going out. It has been a while since we went out together at night just the two of us, usually our best friend comes with us. I don't mind, she isn't a third wheel and we usually have a great time but it is still great to be alone for once. We used to double date a lot but since our friends boyfriend turned out to be a royal ass hole it has been just the three of us on our Saturday nights out. I really cant wait till tomorrow night! I am not meeting him till after his business class so that should give me plenty of time to get ready.
I am starting to miss my friend, Yoko. Due to university exams I have not seen her in weeks. It is strange for the two of us to go for so long without seeing each other. She has barely emailed me either....weird.

Slytherin Pride Yo!
I am returning from a fun filled weekend of nothing but Harry Potter movies. What more could a girl ask for? Well...maybe a life....but aw well. I think a lot of my blogs are going to be Hogwarts related for a while. I cant help it just seems to be all that I am doing right now, either that or writing or hanging out with my boy friend. Luckily I mixed watching Harry Potter all weekend with his wonderful company. Who could ask for much more?
Well at the moment I am currently on the hunt for a job. Yes another one. My current job has cut back my hours so much lately that I have not worked in over three weeks. I even called down to my work yesterday to collect my pay slip for this month and they didn't have it. My mum was saying that I should call into some employment agencies to see if they have any part time computer work going. I am a computer science student after all. Working in a computer environment shouldn't be too difficult, after all I have done it before.
